How are you feeling?

Nervous
Excited
Scared

I am soo excited for collage next year but I'm also really nervous and scared. Next year Im going to
Wellington Girls College!

One or two things I would like to achieve next year would be to be in time for most of my classes. I would also like to keep my locker tidy.

The biggest question is What are some things you are looking forward to next year?!
Well in answer to that, I'm looking froward to a lot of things, including;

Moving to a new school,
Making new friends,
Having to walk in between classes, I've never been at a school that has different teachers for different subjects.
Bussing to school and then to swimming or gymnastics.
Having more responsibility abut where I go and what I do!

Thats only a few things of what I'm looking forward too, but as well as being excited I'm also sort of scared. For reasons like;
Being one of the youngest at school,
Getting lost (not at school but on my way to and from school!!!)
Getting my work finished with my busy time table of after school activities.

What are you scared about for college or year 8

Book Week

Clues
Book Quiz
Kate De Goldi
Book Character Parade

Which of those 4 were my 3 favourite.

The clues was my most favourite of all of these, Every day mr McGurk would put up a new set of clues that our class would have to work out. Out of the 3 or 4 time we were given a clue, I (me, Fronk and
Sylvia) won twice. The first time we won Mr Mcgurk gave us one tiny crunchie bar, so we measured it and divided it by 4, mr Mcgurk saw us doing this and gave us one each.
The next time we won we got a large hokey pokey whittakers bar!!

My next favorite thing would have been the, um……………

Book Quiz!
I was one of the 4 year 7 and 8 contestants. In the quiz there was 10 questions, our group answered 5/10 correctly (answered them at all!!)

And my last favourite thing would have been the Book Character Parade, I like seeing other peoples costumes and how they dressed up! Me and India were cows from Jack and the bean stalk! She was Daisy 1 and I was daisy 2
Im a true Cow, (look at that tongue)

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Nommm, Nommm, Nommmmm

When I was younger one of my favourite books was the Hungry Caterpillar.
I don’t really know why I liked this book because I was about 2 or 3 but, right now I like it because it’s funny. The caterpillar is so greedy (like me) but doesn’t get fat right until the end of the book.
I really liked the pictures (I think) and the way the pages are. The pages start off short them get longer and longer until they cover the whole width of the book.

AFL, NEW SKILLS

Recently we had a session with people from the AFL NZ and I learnt so much about AFL.

I really wasn't looking forward to learning AFL, especially as it was raining, and I didn't have my coat. I also thought that it would be like soccer, witch if you know me, I hate!!

I learnt so much, like:
AFL, if you can't see!!
Laces away from faces,
Xs up and down,
Arms pointing like an arrow

I also learnt how to kick the ball sort of.

For some of the session we had to be in pairs and I was with Sylvia, so we learnt how to kick towards each other.
I also learnt that a AFL court is way bigger than a rugby field!!

The Mortal Instruments

4 of the 5 books in the series

Books
x5
Shadow hunters
Demons
Runes

That's a brief 6 words on what my favourite book series is at the moment.

The series is called the Mortal Instruments.

I literally finished that whole series this morning, and I loved every part of the books.

What I really like about them is that when you thing one thing is going to happen,  but the complete opposite will happen.

I also love all the characters, but my favourite would be: Magnus, with his spiky glitter hair and his crazy clothes. Magnus is a warlock who has been alive for 400 years. He is defiantly my favourite character.

At the beginning of the book I absolutely hated Simon (Clary's best friend) but then he became one of my favourite characters.

All characters grown  on you as the series moves on.

I hope all  of you reading this will go and try this book  series out. I can garuntee you will love it.

Camera Woman <-- vs --> Director

I had to think very hard about what I wanted be when I'm older, but in the end I decided that I would like to be ether of the two:

Camera Woman
Camera
I would love to be a camera woman because I really like to film stuff. Whenever people come to our house we usually make a movie and I am always the Camera Woman. I really like trying to take films from different angles and with different lighting. I also love to edit the movies afterwards but that's kinda not really Camera woman's job!!
If I was to be this in the future, at collage I would have to take: Digital Animating and programming, and there was another course I could take but I have forgotten it!!

Director
As well as always filming, I always seem to take control of the movie and direct it. This is sort of weird but i like it because i can tell people what to do!!   :)
I would not want to be a director as much as i would be a Camera Woman, but directing is still pretty fun!!
