Research Assignment- Swimming Disqualifications- The Race In General

The Race in General

In swimming there are many ways to get disqualified. For this task I am Just summarizing the race. Not any specific stroke... just the race in general.

One of the most popular ways is to false start. For some people this is sooooo easy to get D.Qed* but for others this is normal not to. Most people are good at starting on time after the GO noise.

Another way is to not touch the wall. This DQ will usually always be an accident, because it is hard not to hit the wall unless you are to far away from the wall.

Another way nobody ever does is to pull on the lane rope. I don't know why you would do that because if you can't swim you would not be racing.

A strange way is to not finish in your own lane. This means that you have moved into somebody's lane. maybe on the turn. But I have never seen anybody do that.

Walking on the bottom of the pool is another not common way to get D.Qed.

And not touching the wall at the finish. But I have no clue how you can do that one, without being stupid, because why would you not touch the wall at the end of your race.

*D.Qed means disqualification or disqualified.
